Praza d'Almeida
After years collaborating with various groups, Margarida Mariño, the composer's sister, undertook a solo artistic project combining cello and electronic pedals that work as loops.
Borja Mariño has dedicated two of his songs to this project: Tarde de choiva (Rainy afternoon) and Praza d'Almeida (Almeida Square). The last one is inspired on the place where the performer lives, as long as and during the confinement she made an original video where she showed the few activity that was seen from her windows.
Other works for cello include Laberinto Lírico (Lyrical Labyrinth), a piece for solo cello and piano premiered by Esteban Jiménez.
